The Met Office is warning of cold weather for Herefordshire over the weekend (starting Friday 30 January 2015).
Prolonged periods of cold weather can be dangerous, especially for the very young, very old or those with chronic diseases.

Dr Arif Mahmood is a consultant in public health at Herefordshire Council he said
“Cold weather is a fact of life but it can be a problem for the more vulnerable in our communities. We are asking everyone to take a few minutes just to make sure they are prepared for the cold snap, and can keep safe warm and healthy. There is lots of help and advice out there. We have pulled together many of the most useful resources on to a single page on our website. Please do take a few minutes to follow that advice”.
