Herefordshire Council is inviting residents to have their say on local pharmacy services to help plan and improve services across the county.
The council’s Health and Wellbeing Board has a statutory responsibility to publish and keep up to date the county’s Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA), which is a statement of the needs for community pharmaceutical services.
To help inform the PNA, a survey is being undertaken by the council’s public health team to assess whether the current services are meeting the needs of local people. Residents’ views will not only help the council to plan future services but also improve the health services pharmacies provide. The survey will only take a few minutes to complete, with all responses remaining confidential, and there are no right or wrong answers.
The PNA will be published next March, but prior to that there will be a 60 day consultation period scheduled to commence in January 2015. There will be more details available nearer the time.
