Businesses across Shropshire, Herefordshire, Staffordshire and Worcestershire can find out how they could benefit from tax incentives at an event next week.
About the event
The Tax Credit workshop open to Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s) is being hosted at the Kindle Centre, Asda Supermarket, Belmont Road, Hereford, on Tuesday 3 June from 9am to 12.30pm.
Businesses will be able to find out the latest tax situation from Chris Walklett, Business and International Tax Partner, Bishop Fleming Accountants, who will explain the current tax initiatives available to SME’s.
The free workshop will also include:
- Enterprise Resource Planning (Including MIS)
- A more efficient small SME operation (including the virtual office and use of open-source software).
- Using the internet for your marketing needs, and new development in crowdsourcing
- Opportunities for additional support and funding available
Following the workshop, businesses will benefit from an impartial business review undertaken by the University of Worcester Business School. Revenue grants are also available to assist with the implementation cost of recommendations to improve business performance.
About the programme
The event is being organised by University of Worcester in partnership with the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership and is one of many held across the region as part of The European Funded, Eureka! Moment project. The project runs across Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire and Worcestershire, and is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The half day information workshops are open to SME’s across the four authority areas that supply goods and services directly to other businesses. The workshops are designed to help colleagues think differently about their business; be more competitive in their market, and win (and more importantly, keep) new customers.
