The centre piece of the Ross-on-Wye Christmas festivities is in place thanks to local Cllr Richard Mayo and workmen from Balfour Beatty Living Places volunteering to add some seasonal sparkle.
They erected a 25-foot Christmas tree donated by the Association of Ross Traders and Ross Rotary Club in the town centre which is set to glitter and glisten as the countdown to December 25 begins in earnest.
'It is great to be able to work with Balfour Beatty again this year, their expertise and practical knowledge is essential with something like this and they have really helped bring a bit of Christmas cheer to beautiful Ross on Wye' said Cllr Mayo.
The BBLP has a community engagement programme to assist community groups and charities when it can by providing volunteers to extra manpower. Recently they provided safety barriers in Hereford as part of the town’s Christmas lights’ switch-on.
