Find out what lies beneath Queenswood Country Park

For those intrigued by the history of Queenswood Country Park, a planned archaeology walk on Saturday 7 September will help explain the hill top’s distant past.

Jim Key, archaeology themed walk through the country park, continuing to the other side of the hill as featured on Channel 4’s Time Team.

Jim Key, countryside service ranger, said: “The council’s archaeologist Tim Hoverd will be on hand to provide all sorts of wonderful insights into Queenswood’s lumps and bumps, from the woodland’s industrial past back to the hill’s significance during the Bronze Age.  This will be a really interesting couple of hours and I’m looking forward to finding out more myself.”
