Ross-on-Wye toddlers get ready - Santa's coming to town!

The tinsel’s out, the party’s planned and the grotto’s built - all that’s needed now is Santa himself and he’s making a special visit to Ross on Wye Children’s Centre on Wednesday (19th December) at 10am.

Children and parents at the centre have spent the last few days getting ready for their annual Christmas party.  This year’s event is being run in partnership with the Guinness Hermitage Housing Association who have very kindly provided party food and a storyteller, Ropert McKenzie.

The whole morning is being devoted to festive fun, stories, songs and games plus a visit to Santa’s grotto for each of the children.

Local community support officers from West Mercia Police have helped Santa fill his sack with beautiful hand knitted teddies.  These have been knitted with loving care by local volunteers and need very young, caring owners to give them a loving home.

Catherine Hewer, Community Investment Officer from Guinness Hermitage,  said:  “We are delighted to be working with the council’s children’s centre in Ross-on-Wye and we are really hopeful that some of our families come along and find out all the great services that they can access in the future.”
